Clean Slate Wine Bar features small production local wines as well as craft beers on tap. Wines and beers rotate quickly, and you never know what you’ll find. Bring your curiosity and come on in to sip something completely new.

Chef Melissa is from Louisiana, and her Cajun-accented cooking is so market-driven that the menu changes daily. She creates a collection of small plates and shareable dishes inspired by the freshest ingredients and whatever is currently in season. Come early, before it’s all gone, ‘cause we have been known to run out of food.

Clean the Slate

And when something runs out because the wine was limited production, the farmer sold out of produce, the beer was brewed in a small batch, or the local fisherman only caught so much, we “clean the slate” and start fresh. There’s always something new to try.

Since we opened, we’ve built a reputation as an inviting spot to experience the best of California Central Coast’s food and wine. Come and join us and hang out for a while.

No reservations necessary. We’re walk-in only. No time limit on tables, we want you to hang out and enjoy yourselves.

The five-acre hilltop property includes a full-service restaurant, a small spa, a working vineyard, edible gardens and restored 1950’s era pool. The hotel’s original midcentury architecture was updated to a modern rustic aesthetic and softened with luxury trimmings: flat panel televisions, down duvets, leather club chairs and marble-clad bathrooms with organic small batch amenities. Our Valley Wine Trail tour includes black car service up to 6 people, single point pick-up and drop-off, tasting fees up to 3 wineries (1 tasting per person, per location), and complimentary bottled water throughout your tour. We handle all of the reservations and organize your day, so that you don't have to.

Our Private Transportation service is provided in our luxury, blacked out SUV, and services up to 6 people. This service is most valued when you already have an itinerary of any kind and just require transportation. In 2019, Chris & Kim Pelonis opened Lost Chord Guitars in downtown Solvang. Part music venue, part art and photography gallery, and one part boutique guitar shop.

It was our vision to create a space where people can experience the magic that happens when music is the conduit. We sell our own wine, as well as beer from M. Special Brewing.

Petroliana Collection

The Mendenhall Museum is a private collection located in California’s beautiful Santa Ynez Valley. The museum has one of the west coasts largest petroliana collections including gasoline pumps, globes, and porcelain gas, oil, & road signs. There are also race cars, racing memorabilia, license plates, gas & oil items, and other miscellaneous antiques.

This collection was started over fifty years ago by the late Jack Mendenhall and is carried on today by his son and daughter in law, Mark and Vickie.

We will schedule private tours for individuals and clubs. We host special events, such as weddings, birthday parties, class reunions, family reunions, anniversary’s, etc. We also have car and motorcycle club gatherings.
