Dreamcôte Wine Co. is a small-producer of low alcohol, low sulfur wines + hard ciders. We produce a less traditional range of carbonic red wines like Gamay, a few pétillant-natural “pét-nat” (OG sparkling) wines as well as an annual bottling/kegging of hard apple cider fermented with fruit and botanicals from our small farm in Ballard, CA. The tasting line-up changes every vintage. Come taste the rainbow at our foot tasting room in Los Olivos. The tasting room is just off the main drag, and offers a less busy, fun, unpretentious, pet friendly setting with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Lucas & Lewellen

Few wineries in California produce 25 different wines, including Bordeaux, Rhône, Burgundy and Italian varietals. But then, few wineries can match the intimate relationship Lucas & Lewellen Vineyards has with Santa Barbara County’s amazing winegrowing potential.

Louis Lucas

Co-founded by viticulturist Louis Lucas and wine enthusiast Royce Lewellen in 1996, this small winery boasts three vineyards totaling 400 acres of vines, in the county’s three main growing regions: Santa Maria Valley, Los Alamos Valley and Santa Ynez Valley. All are meticulously tended by Louis, who planted his first vines here in 1970. With Winemaker Megan McGrath Gates heading up the cellar, little Lucas & Lewellen has become one of Santa Barbara County’s most popular wineries.

Chanin Wine Co. is dedicated to crafting wines from Santa Barbara County that reflect the individual vineyard in which they are grown. We focus on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, two grapes that are especially revealing of subtle differences in geography, geology and climate. Our grapes are grown in Santa Barbara County, where cool coastal winds, diverse marine based soils and a long growing season provide an exciting and unique environment for Burgundian varieties.

The vineyards are the focus of all of our wines and each wine is made from grapes grown at one vineyard and not blended. We search out old vines and make wine from some of the oldest in the county. This allows us to make refreshingly balanced wines at lower alcohol levels than most California “blockbuster” or “cult” styled wines. Through low yields, improved farming techniques and gentle winemaking we aim to create a wine that pairs well with food and is delicious young but is also age-worthy. All of our vineyards are organic or sustainably farmed.

Our winemaking philosophy is rooted in representing each individual vineyard by emphasizing balance, finesse, and complexity. We avoid excessive alcohol, and modern winemaking additives (such as commercial yeasts, bacteria, enzymes) that can overshadow vineyard characteristics. We also do not filter our wines or use intrusive wine processing machines. The goal is to grow grapes that are so healthy none of the above is needed.

Ken Brown Wines

Ken Brown Wines is recognized as one of Santa Barbara County’s pioneering winemakers and innovators. He was among the first vintners to realize the tremendous promise for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in this cool-climate appellation in the mid-1970’s. He was also the first winemaker to introduce the Syrah grape, as well as Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc, to Santa Barbara County.

With an uncompromising drive for quality, Ken constantly reevaluates everything he does in his winemaking endeavors. With nearly 40 years’ experience in this region, Ken’s goal is to focus on exceptional Pinot Noir from leading vineyards in Santa Rita Hills and several other select locations in the county.

With the introduction of Ken Brown Wines in 2005, he can optimize the best sources of Pinot Noir with uncompromised winemaking. His wines feature Pinot Noir in addition to limited bottlings of Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.

Located in the renowned Santa Rita Hills appellation of western Santa Ynez Valley in Santa Barbara County and established during the 1990s by the Gainey family, who have farmed in Santa Ynez Valley for four generations and were searching for an ideal site on which to cultivate the classic cool-climate varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah.

Named after owner Dan Gainey’s great-grandfather, Evan’s Ranch is just ten miles from the Pacific Ocean and benefits from its marine influence, which lengthens the growing season, limits crop yields, and produces grapes with ripe, concentrated flavors balanced by bright acidity and a refreshing minerality. This enables us to craft six very limited-production, world-class wines: Las Brisas and La Marina Chardonnays, Las Brisas and Lone Oak Pinot Noirs and Las Brisas and Lone Oak Syrahs.

Kaena is a boutique winery that sources from Tierra Alta Vineyard and Larner Vineyard in the Ballard Canyon AVA , primarily. Winemaker, Mikael Sigouin, who is part Hawaiian and raised on the Oahu shores, uses a shortened version of his given name for the brand – Kaena – which means “potential for greatness”.

That “greatness” is evident in the wines – in 2006 Wine Spectator named Mikael one of the top 10 new Rhone producers. Known affectionately by his peers and fans as The Grenache King – Kaena produces 2,000 cases of Rhone & other varietals with an emphasis on Grenache.

Kaena has been serving up the Aloha in the Santa Ynez Valley for the last three years in the beautiful quaint town of Los Olivos. The vibe is welcoming, chill, relaxed. We feel so proud of our staff we consider them our O’hana, which means “Family” in the Hawaiian language. Our O’hana is knowledgeable, compassionate and just down right fun to cruz with! Dierberg and Star Lane Vineyards

The first decade of JIm and Mary Dierberg’s  California Dierberg and Star Lane Vineyards wine adventure was spent searching for the ideal location to plant a vineyard. They started a new winery. In 1996, driving upon the former dude and cattle ranch – Star Lane Ranch, Mary Dierberg recalled: “We immediately knew that we wanted this amazing ranch”.

With wisdom from patience, a 250 year plan, the certainty of passion, and some of the best consultants in the business, the Dierbergs planted Star Lane Vineyard with Bordeaux varietals, based on their confidence in those grapes’ ability to soar in this unique microclimate.

The family subsequently added two cool climate vineyards represented by the DIERBERG wines; creating a collection of superb estates within three distinct AVAs of Santa Barbara County’s winegrowing region.

Purchased by Roger Bower in 2012, Crown Point is an estate winery dedicated to crafting wines of the highest distinction. Nestled in the eastern-most foothills of the east-to-west transverse valley of the Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara AVA (American Viticultural Area), Crown Point is blessed with distinct climatic conditions and soil types that provide an ideal growing environment for Bordeaux varieties.

Winemaker Adam Henkel joined Roger in 2013. Adam, who spent 10 years in the Napa Valley, including eight years at Harlan Estate in Oakville, had long been fascinated by the viticultural diversity and geographical grandeur of Santa Barbara County. His pursuit at Crown Point has been to express the unique characteristics and individuality of the region’s preeminent vineyards through farming and winemaking at the highest possible level.

At Crown Point Vineyards, we offer a unique tasting experience to help educate our members and guests as to why our estate is an ideal place for growing Bordeaux varieties. The private tour & tasting allows you to learn how Crown Point was founded, share Roger Bower’s vision for this special property, and experience, first-hand, that no expense has been spared to develop the vineyard and winery. The experience starts with a guided tour through 50 acres of estate vineyards followed by a walking tour through the winery and barrel rooms. The tour finishes with a seated tasting of our estate wines and a cheese pairing.

We will do whatever we can to accommodate friends of Crown Point. All tastings are by appointment only, and we can arrange private visits on a limited basis for members and guests Monday through Friday.

Grassini Family Vineyards is a family-owned and operated, boutique winery which specializes in the handcrafted production of wines made exclusively from Bordeaux varietals. We are available at by appointment only at our estate winery. We focus on farming our estate vineyard to its fullest potential using renewable and sustainable resources. A hands-on artisan approach helps us to make wines which represent the uniqueness of this special site and climate.

Happy Canyon Vineyard is nestled into the undulating hills of the beautiful Piocho Ranch. The Barracks have taken great pride over the years in being stewards of the land and along with their wine maker Doug Margerum, have created something that is unique to the beauty and richness of the place. Piocho, is a Chumash Indian word meaning “where the two rivers meet and go to heaven”. The ranch is also home to the “Piocho” polo team.

There are the top wines called Barrack Brand, Barrack Blanc and Barrack Ten–Goal and two companion wines; PIOCHO is the champion wine made mostly from Cabernet Franc. There is also a nouveau styled Bordeaux blend released each Easter (perfect with Spring Lamb) called CHUKKER.

Our wines are available on our website and in our new tasting room, located in Santa Barbara at 30 El Paseo, open 12pm – 6pm daily. For a truly special experience, we offer private, by appointment tastings at our ranch and vineyard.
