Material Handler

Location: Queensbury, NY 
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: Starting at $18.00/hr, with potential to earn $18 - $20/hr based on experience

Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Machine Operator to join our team at our clients location in Queensbury, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, cleaning, and set-up of the Tetra Pak machine, performing machine changeovers, and ensuring product quality through testing and troubleshooting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Food Safety:
  • Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) protocols to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
  • Responsible for monitoring Critical Control Points (CCPs) in the production process.
• Safety:
  • Follow all general safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Machine Operation & Maintenance:
  • Independently start up, operate, and shut down the Tetra Pak machine.
  • Add raw materials, clean, sanitize manufacturing equipment, and perform package integrity testing according to established procedures.
  • Understand and oversee ancillary water processing and transfer equipment.
  • Recognize and troubleshoot technical issues, seeking assistance from maintenance or engineering support when needed.
• Product Monitoring & Quality Control:
  • Conduct daily product monitoring and sampling to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Follow product segregation, storage, and line clearance procedures.
  • Provide daily production support, including palletizing, wrapping pallets, and completing quality readings.

Qualifications and Education:

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environment.
• Skills & Certifications:
  • Forklift experience and certification are preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Physical/Work Requirements:

• Exposure to varying conditions in the office, lab, warehouse, production room, and conex box.
• Ability to routinely lift up to 30 lbs and occasionally lift up to 55 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
